David Tennant Joins Cast Of Comic Book Adaptation ‘Chew’ | Film News

Former Doctor Who star David Tennant has joined Felicity Day and Steven Yuen in the cast of an animated adaptation of John Layman and Rob Guillory‘s critically-acclaimed comic book series Chew, which is set to be directed by Jeff Krelitz.

The plot of Chew centres around an FDA agent named Tony Chu (who will be voiced by Yuen), who receives psychic impressions from the food that he consumes. A ‘cibopath’ – who can imagine the life of the piece of meat he eats, for example. He uses this gift for good in the form of solving crimes, alongside Amelia (who will be voiced by Day) and Mason Savoy (who will be voiced by Tennant). Yuen and Day have finished recording, and sources say Tennant will begin recording this week. No news has been unveiled about a release date.
