Demi Lovato Announces New Album ‘Dancing With The Devil… The Art of Starting Over’ | Music News

Demi Lovato has not released an album since 2017, but 2021 marks the return of the singer with a new album in the works called Dancing With the Devil… The Art of Starting Over.

During a livestream on the ClubHouse platform, Demi Lovato explained that this LP would be the follow-up to her last album released in 2017, Tell Me You Love Me. “It really does follow the course of my life and the path it’s taken over the past few years,” said the star.

The 19-song album with three bonus tracks is the soundtrack to her documentary Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil, which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival on Tuesday, March 16.

Both the album and the documentary are directed by Michael D. Ratner and both focus on the singer’s 2018 overdose, which resulted in three strokes and a heart attack.

“When we went through the track listing and kind of mapped out how it kind of coincided with my life’s story, it made sense to add the more emotional stuff in the beginning and then transition into ‘The Art of Starting Over’”, said Demi during the ClubHouse stream.

A very touching album, which will tell us more about what the singer has been through and the road she has traveled, will be available on April 2.
