Dirty Nice – The Work Won’t Do Itself | New Music

East London duo Dirty Nice is composed of Charlie Pelling and Mark Thompson, and they emerged last year with their debut EP Always Summer, which they promoted in an original way – no press releases, biography or images, they only brought the focus to a series of graphic art pieces that tied in with their sounds.

Both instrumentalists, with Charlie on vocals, they have just started to hypnotize us. They deliver hip-hop breakdown, chunky pop vocal hooks, thundering wobs of EDM bass, sampled cups and random yells.

They have built their reputation with their Europe and UK tour in support of Dâm-Funk, Elder Island, Naomi Scott, and more. Their first London headline, was such an original performance, they held it this Summer in a brewery under the railway tunnels featuring free Dirty Nice beer, and they have just come back from their North America tour supporting Elder Island.

The due is back with a new track titled “The Work Won’t Do Itself” which is about the devil within us trying to ruin our life. It’s a smooth electronic track with pop vocal hooks. It’s the perfect halloween song.

It’s the third single, following “UP 2 SPEED” and “Love U Like a Human”, from their upcoming EP Sexbots, Devils and A High-Speed Car Chase, which is due to be released on November 19. Each of their tracks introduced a new character from their dancing multiverse.

Their next London headline is on Saturday, November 23, at Waiting Room. Listen to “The Work Won’t Do Itself” here:
