When you think of Doctor Who, a British Saturday night family sci-fi show, what you picture couldn’t be further from the likes of Mask-wearing Des Moines rockers Slipknot. The BBC has released that they have recruited frontman Corey Taylor to voice the deafening roar of Alien Warlord Fisher King, who will battle with Peter Capaldi‘s Doctor next Saturday.

Having heard that Taylor and the rest of the band love the show, The BBC got into contact with the band following the announcement of their Cardiff show in January, and sources said “They gave them a VIP tour and asked if Corey wanted to record his famous scream. He agreed instantly and was made up about it”.

Fisher King is played by 7ft 7in Neil Fingleton, with a speaking voice provided by Shaun of the Dead‘s Peter Serafinowicz. The horned beast of an alien will feature on next Saturday’s show. And here’s a picture of a happy Taylor with the TARDIS Console!
