Doug Seegers + Emmylou Harris – She | New Music
Doug Seegers has a truly amazing story, releasing his debut heavily roots oriented country album, Going Down To The River, at the age of 62. Having previously been a homeless musician in Nashville, Tennessee, Seegers was discovered on the Swedish TV show, Jill Veranda. His album is out today and contains numerous unique tracks, including his duet with Emmylou Harris titled “She”. This song was first recorded by Gram Parsons and contains an abundance of crying steel guitar riffs, acoustic guitar chords, and two part harmonies. Listen below to hear Seegers’ natural gift for music, and purchase Going Down To The River on iTunes here.
