“Dukes Avenue are of trio of songwriting musicians who organically formed as a group whilst they produced and wrote for a range of artists, both mainstream and underground. The boys had been working together in their hometown London for a number of years before they decided to birth the songwriting machine that is Dukes avenue. The group have been played on the likes of BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, Capital Xtra and Kiss 100 to name some of the more popular stations.
Their latest craft has been for artist Blizzard a well supported up and coming artist with a track entitled ‘Kids Of The Night’. The track was premiered by BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Mista Jam and has been supported heavily by other well respected DJs ever since. It is now currently on playlist for 1Xtra. It only takes one listen to make you sit up and pay closer attention to the Dukes Avenue sound, influenced by 90’s icons such as Oasis, Michael Jackson and Seal.
Not restricted by genres, the band often take inspiration from any situation just like their current single ‘Beautiful Girl’. The gritty, electronic – indie track infuses soulful melodies with storytelling lyrics from the heart reminiscent of a modern day sting. The encapsulating video follows a girl as she loses her way in intoxicating depths of modern day.”
