It is said that love never lies, and the love button on BBC iPlayer certainly shares this sentiment. EastEnders has beaten off competition from the Great British Bake Off and Doctor Who to top the site’s love list this year. CBBC’s The Next Step took second position in the poll, whilst Match of the Day, Doctor Who and Strictly Come Dancing rounded off the top five.
Other notable shows that came in the top twelve, The Great British Bake Off coming in seventh place, The Apprentice in eighth, Sherlock shockingly in tenth place and Leo Tolstoy dramatic adaptation of War and Peace languishing in twelfth place.
