It has recently been reported that Elton John has offered to meet Russian president Vladimir Putin to discuss gay rights in the country. Elton has said he is looking forward to meeting Vladimir Putin after speaking to the Russian President yesterday. The move came while he was in neighbouring Ukraine, where he met President Petro Poroshenko and urged him to show more support for the LGBT community. Elton updated fans on his Instagram saying “I look to forward to meeting with you face-to-face to discuss LGBT equality in Russia.”
