On Thursday, October 6, singer/songwriters Sophie Faith, Olivia Louise and Raff will headline at the infamous Stage 3, Hackney Empire, London, for a night of soulful, jazz music, hosted by English and DJ Glacier.
Sophie Faith combines neo-soul, jazz and flavours of hip-hop into her music. She’s been compared to the likes of Erykah Badu and Nai Palm. She’s set to take the industry by storm releasing her debut EP late 2016. She’s performed at huge platforms such as Bestival. She is a frequent collaborator with Coops and has worked with big named producers such as Talos and Aston Rudi.
Olivia Louise first came on the scene singing for the North West MC collective P3 in the Channel U days. As a solo artist she has collaborated with the likes of DJ Q, Terror Danjah, Davinche, Scrufizzer, Bonkaz, Manga , Nolay and more.
In the space of two years Olivia has gone from being an uknown artist, to singing at BBC Maida Vale studios, featuring on the MOBO awards Unsung tour, supporting Bugzy Malone on tour, and was last year Nominated for a GRM Daily ‘Get Rated’ award.
As well as being an exciting vocal talent, Olivia is a crazy songwriter, she recently joined Craig David for a writing/ singing session and is currently working with American producer, Thatboygood (Carter Wisdom ROC), on cuts for other artists, and if that wasn’t enough, she has a couple of tracks featured in Noel Clarke’s film, Legacy!
Raff started off singing in the jazz bars and clubs of Edinburgh with an amazing band of musicians, fusing soul with R&B and hip-hop, releasing an album and two EPs. On moving to London, he explored his love of club music and collaborated on the electro-pop-soul laden Soul Electric EP with producer, Dead Love Junkies, to great acclaim.
Since then Raff has been collaborating with dance producers all over the world, bringing his signature brand of energetic soulful soaring vocals and showcasing his addictive writing-style evocative of his old school soul influences, as well as nuturing his own projects in the pipeline.
The show starts at 7.30pm, and tickets are available to purchase here, of which 100% of the profits made are donated to @Kori.
