Erykah Badu – Honey (Ruck P Remix) | New Music
Have a listen to this funky fresh new remix by Swiss producer Ruck P. His latest creation is an adaption of Texas born singer-songwriter Erykah Badu’s 2007 R&B single “Honey“. What Ruck P does with this remix is strip the songs twinkling 90’s style production and instead add a more old skool Motown sound. The light squelchy keys are replaced with simple organ keys and the beat is stripped right back, this makes for a much more funky, soulful sound but not at the cost of losing its R&B vibe which remains in full. Erykah’s soulful voice is still in full splendour throughout, except now it coasts across a better, cooler sound. Have a listen to the Ruck P remake below:
