Erykah Badu has recently released a remix of Drake’s track ‘Hotline Bling’ which you can listen to below via Soundcloud. Last year, Drake referenced going to Badu’s house in ‘Days In The East’, in the lines, “She made tea for me, we talked about love and what life could really be for me, she said, “when that shit is real, you just know”.
NME commented saying Badu added “distortion and jazzy influences to the song, she draws out its four-minute runtime, turning it into an extended, seven-minute jam. She also adds in a fake hotline message, saying lines such as, “If you’re calling today for some shit in general, press 4”.
