Essex Singer-Songwriter Imoni Unveils Feel Good R&B Track ‘Mood’

Imoni, an Essex-based singer-songwriter known for her mesmerizing R&B sound, has released her second single of the year, titled “Mood.”

Following the success of “Bloodline,” which garnered high praise and multiple spins on BBC Introducing, “Mood” offers a chilled, feel-good R&B vibe. The track encourages listeners to let go of the pressures and expectations associated with life in their 20s and to focus on pursuing their dreams.

Championing creativity and embracing individuality, Imoni traveled to one of Amsterdam’s most thriving arts communities to film the self-directed visuals accompanying her catchy, laid-back, and candid R&B track.

Imoni is somewhat of an outlier in her genre, as she uses rhythm and blues to pave the way for a more creative, sensitive, and immersive R&B realm of tomorrow. Her ethereal vocals, pulsing basslines, and brooding sensibilities form her distinct style of dark R&B.

Despite having released only a handful of singles so far, Imoni has already experienced some impressive career highlights.

These include featuring on ‘New Music Daily’ with her debut single “Money,” having her tracks played on BBC 1Xtra and Reprezent Radio, and being featured in Notion, Complex, and Trench Magazine, as well as on Link Up TV and Mixtape Madness. Rapper Nines even praised her for covering his song “Clout” on Instagram.

Imoni’s intriguing sound and style have caught the attention of many, and as an independent artist, she is proving her tremendous capabilities.

With a string of new releases and self-directed visuals in the pipeline, Imoni is poised to take her rightful place in the UK R&B scene, captivating listeners with her unique and immersive music.
