‘Everyplace Is Life’ From Bearcubs Is Out Now | Music News

 

The single “Everyplace Is Life” from Bearcubs, real name Jack Ritchie was released on April 24! The release of his new album Early Hours on May 15 will follow his highly acclaimed debut album Ultraviolet.

 

Bearcubs is the solo project of Jack Ritchie, a versatile, meticulous producer, writer and composer. In 2018, he released his debut album Ultraviolet,  previous has a series of singles and two highly acclaimed EPs, brought him acclaim from Annie Mac, Zane Low, MistaJam, FADER, NPR, VICE, Complex and Mixmag.

 

He moved last year to Berlin, then he had the opportunity to compose the music for the feature film Relativity by director Mariko Minoguchi. It premiered at the Munich International Film Festival and was nominated at the BFI London Film Festival.

 

In Berlin, the artist discovered more artistic freedom and acceptance, new energies. It was a real transformation for him, he was able to reinvent himself musically, constantly searching for what is closest to him. He created his second album, Early Hours.

 

His second album talks about many of his experiences such as living in London, working in a pub while trying to write music, passing relationships, lost and found friendships, loneliness in the city, and many others.
