The Marvel rumor mill is going wild today with reports that Ewan McGregor could be the next Dr. Strange. According to Badass Digest, after Joaquin Phoenix dropped out of the role, McGregor is next in line to fill the Doctor’s shoes. Apparently McGregor has been revising the character and reading a lot of old material while Marvel is “looking at” him for the role.
However, McGregor isn’t the only leading man that has been linked to the role, other names like Ethan Hawke and Keanu Reeves have previously been thrown in the mix. Known for his work in the horror genre, Scott Derrickson will be taking the movie on and, with no UK release date know, the Dr. Strange movie will be out in the US in July, 2016.
