Fashion Brands Are Enforcing A New Runway Rule | Fashion News

Upon a runway, you will see style, beauty, colour and designs beyond your imagine. What you won’t see, is a model over a size 8 at most. A model’s physique is one envied, however most of the time, it’s not a healthy goal. So Gucci, Dior and Louis Vuitton are no longer including size zero girls within their shows.

This means that those partaking in one of the brands can be no smaller than the french size 34, which is equal to an English size of 6. The brands have also agreed to make sure to not include models under the age of 16 if they are to be wearing adult clothing.

The ill treatment of models has been an ongoing within the industry as there have been countless times where models, already with a body to die for, have been turned away with a promise of walking next year if they lose some weight, so this rule is put in place to eliminate those on-goings.
