The Boy In The Dress is an original book written by David Walliams, which this week has been filmed and produced as a BBC Christmas special. The story deals with the perception of cross-dressing from the point of view of a 12 year-old boy named Dennis, and the reactions of his friends and family. On the decision to cast Kate Moss as the iconic Vogue model, writer and funny-man Walliams enthused “it’s rare that you become iconic in your own lifetime. Fashion is niche – it doesn’t touch everyone’s life in the way that something like music can, but Kate is iconic to everybody and people are fascinated by her”. You can catch The Boy in the Dress on Boxing Day at 18:55pm on BBC One.
