First Look At Ellen Degeneres’ Gap Kids Collection | Fashion News

The ever so lovely Ellen Degeneres has joined up with Gap, to produce a collection for their children’s range Gap Kids that’s all about girl power. Her campaign will be in partnership with an organisation, that focuses on encouraging young girls to embrace their individuality, and be proud of who they are. A big advocate of this herself, Ellen is excited about this collaboration, joking, “Gap has always encouraged people to be themselves, and I love that they have the same values that I have: to be true to who you are and to wear cute pants”.

Featured in the collection are a number of styles ranging from a professional drummer, to a pro-skater, all of them encouraging young girls to stand proud no matter what style they embody. Ellen’s aim is to start a trend, for girls to take selfies in the collection, and to share their stories, and words of encouragement with others, as she goes on to explain, “Let’s be honest, kids love selfies. Even I’m guilty of taking a selfie if I’m in a really cute outfit. So imagine how many girls around the world could bond through selfies in really cute outfits. They could break the Internet“. The collection will be available in stores from August 17, and it’s guaranteed to make a storm after its release.
