First Trailer for ‘A Very Murray Christmas’ Looks Like Quirky Fun | Film Trailer
Christmas is a time for terrible films to cash in on the holiday cheer. The John Goodman led Christmas with the Coopers is only the first of this year’s many attempts to fill cinema seats with engorged children and stressed out parents. However, this holiday season, those who decide to stay at home are in for a treat; Netflix’s seasonal special A Very Murray Christmas.
Directed by Lost in Translation‘s Sophia Coppola, the film stars a wryly depressed Bill Murray, portraying himself, on the eve of an extravagant holiday special. With a devastating snowstorm inbound, will the eclectic mix of guest stars make the show; or will Murray end up with another Garfield on his hands? The trailer shows us a star studded, low-key caper, perfect for that slightly booze-addled final few hours of Christmas day. If nothing else, it looks like we’ll have something warm and charming to fit into our TV schedules other than the Doctor Who special.
A Very Murray Christmas stars George Clooney, Rashida Jones, Amy Poehler, Miley Cyrus, Michael Cera, Jason Schwartzman, Maya Rudolph and Chris Rock, amongst many others. The film will land on Netflix on December 4.
