First Trailer For Ang Lee’s ‘Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk’ Emerges | Film Trailer

The follow-up to the acclaimed Life Of Pi first made the headlines at the NAB conference where the audience was treated to an 11-minute long clip from the film, which showcases Lee’s subtle combination of style and substance.

The film, which is shot at the same frame sequence as the Hobbit-120 frames/second, is an adaptation of Ben Fountain’s bestseller, penned by Jean-Christophe Castelli. 19-year-old private Billy Lynn returns to his homeland a hero after his team comes under a harrowing attack during a mission in Iraq. The footage of the celebration in their honor, beautifully set to a rendition of the late Bowie’s cult song “Hero”, is then mashed up with some flashbacks, suggesting another side to the typical story of human courage and military glory.

Newcomer Joe Alwyn leads a star-studded supporting cast, which boasts the likes of Kristen Stewart, Vin Diesel, Garrett Hedlund, Chris Tucker and Steve Martin and the first trailer has already garnered awards talks. We will see how the new film will resonate with audiences- moviegoers and critics alike on November 11th, 2016. You can have a look at the trailer below:
