Florence + The Machine – Big God | Music Video

English rock band, Florence + The Machine have released the music video for their new single “Big God” from their upcoming album High As Hope. This year, the band have released two new songs titled “Sky Full Of Song” and “Hunger” accompanied by a music video, which was directed by AG Rojas.

“Big God” is an indie pop song that includes a powerful piano in the background. The song is their third official single and talks about the feeling when someone has not replied to your text.

Speaking on the song, Florence Florence Welch said: “the modern phenomenon of “ghosting” which is one of my favourite words but not my favourite feeling. I was describing it to someone and they said to me “you need a big God” as if the need in me were so cavernous it would take something enormous to fill it. Probably something bigger than a text message“.

The music video is very simple but powerful. It was directed by Autumn de Wilde and choreographed by herself and Akram Khan. In the music video, Florence dances with other girls in a water floor. Their moves express anger and pain.

I was born in a small island where the nature is special, Gran Canaria. When I was a child, I felt that I wasn't like the rest. I spent my childhood around music and many films and books.

When I grew up, I focused my vision in other countries and I found love in different cultures like British, American, Japanese, Korean, etc. Once time I read that “it’s no always necessary to be strong, but to feel strong”, and because of that, I consider myself a very rebel, adventuress and creative person.
