Conversations About Her

Folvo – Wolf | Music Video

Folvo is a new Netherland band and they have just released their debut single titled “Wolf” on October 4, in the lead up to their debut album Kilometers which will be dropped in the spring of 2020.

Its writer and leader is an Amsterdam-based musician named Rolf Kluit. He decided to dedicate himself to songwriting after a burn-out. And we can feel it through his emotional lyrics. Then he decided to create the band composed of his Amsterdam conservatory friends.

On drums is Tobias Pensioen, at the battle guitar is Maarten de Boer, on keys is Jeoren Roelofsen, with Max Westendrop as the lead guitar, and it’s a multidisciplinary band with Maarten as producer and Max as director of the music video. They mix Americana and 60’ Britpop with a touch of wink.

Also the band have already had positive reviews from Dutch music press, as well as playing in some of the country’s biggest festivals including Get Lost Festival.

In their new single titled “Wolf” we can discover singer Rolf’s pure voice and the musicians’ skills. Their usage of keys and riffing guitars make this song a happy and up-tempo blend of fore-mentioned genres, and the video is a black-and-white video showing the band playing, watch it below. It’s a pure delight of energy and emotion, we can’t wait for their album.

I’m 21 and I’m French. I was a law student, but then I realized I wasn’t fit for that, so I decided to take a year off school to prepare for a journalism master exam. That’s the reason I’m doing an internship for Conversation About Her.

I spent 18 years in Africa due to my father’s job, and this experience has made me want to become a journalist. Writing has always been one of my hobbies, as well as art. I’m passionate about 60’s film, art house film, and also by modern art.
