Former ‘Bachelor’ Colton Underwood Announces Netflix Reality TV Show | Film News

Former Bachelor star Colton Underwood is producing his own reality show for Netflix!

Currently under production, the project represents an unscripted series with multiple episodes which focuses on Underwood living his life publicly as a gay man and the barriers he is going through.

The former football player shared the news on the Netflix deal after he came out on national television during a very personal interview with Robin Roberts that aired this Wednesday morning on ABC’s Good Morning America.

There he said: “I’ve ran from myself for a long time. I’ve hated myself for a long time… and I’m gay. And I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it. And the next step in all of this was sort of letting people know.”

Colton has also admitted that his struggle with being gay got so bad that at some point he thought of committing a suicide, but, fortunately, he decided to take control of his life back!

I’ve had sort of a range of responses and the underlying most common was ‘I wish you would have told me sooner’ and when I hear that I wish I would have had faith in my friends and family a little bit more. The only reason I’m sitting down with you today is because I have the love and support of my friends and my family“, he added during the interview.

No further information about the series has been shared, but a close source reports that Colton Underwood is currently filming the project!
