Fox Hits Back At Trump After Iowa Debate Boycott | TV News
Building on the controversy of his call for banning Muslims from entering the USA – which has alienated the American political establishment from him, Republican candidate hopeful Donald Trump seems intent now on alienating the American media, with Fox News hitting back at the businessman after he pulled out of its upcoming Republican debate. The network criticised the candidate’s treatment of Fox presenter Megyn Kelly, whom Trump condemned repeatedly last year.
Fox released a statement on the Presidential candidates decision: “It should be clear to the American public by now that this is rooted in one thing – Megyn Kelly, whom he has viciously attacked since August. We can’t give in to terrorisations toward any of our employees”. It added: “He has viciously attacked [Megyn] since August and has now spent four days demanding [she] be removed from the debate stage”.
