Gage is one of underground club music’s most exciting prospects. He has been quietly building a discography that manages to be varied, unique, and atmospheric. There is now a new track to be heard: “Gruellin”.
It opens with the sound of an alarm, or a heart monitor. Following this is what can only really be defined as electronic interference, before some commanding, tribal-like percussion. After that are zapping sounds, akin to lasers from a sci-fi flick. Towards the end, there are bird-like cries for help, like the brutal invasion of an alien race is taking place.
