Garry Shandling’s ‘The Larry Sanders Show’ To Return To HBO | TV News
The day is a little bit brighter following the news that Golden Globe-nominee actor and comedian Garry Shandling has passed away aged 66, with HBO confirming that The Larry Sanders Show will be returning to HBO.
The Sony Pictures Television comedy series, which aired on HBO from 1992 to 1998 was created by Shandling and Dennis Klein. Shandling starred as the title character, the host of a late-night talk show. The “show about a show” featured exaggerated parodies of actors and celebrities own personalities, and went on to influence many other comedies, from The Office to 30 Rock.
