Gary Barlow Reveals He Turned Down Coaching Role On ‘The Voice UK’ | TV News
It seems Gary Barlow has shown where his loyalties lie; for the Take That singer revealed that he turned down an opportunity to be a coach on The Voice UK because he thinks X Factor is a better show. From 2011 – 2013, Barlow starred as a judge on Simon Cowell’s beloved X Factor alongside Louis Walsh, Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland; where he coached the Boys, Over 28s and Group categories.
Speaking to Daily Star, Barlow explained he rejected a place on The Voice as he feels it is inferior to X Factor: “I feel like I have been on the best talent show, which was X Factor”. He continued, stating how he’s been approached on numerous occasions for a coaching position on The Voice: “I have been asked a few times about The Voice but I don’t think it is for me” See the final of The Voice this Saturday at 7pm on BBC One; where finalists Kevin Simm, Lydia Lucy, Jolan and Cody Frost will battle to be crowned 2016’s winner.
