Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Sydney saw the welcome return of a familiar face to the catwalk this week. Perth born model Gemma Ward stormed the runway for the first time in nearly a decade as she showcased work by Australian designer Kym Ellery. The 27 year old hung up her heels in grief, following the death of ex-boyfriend Heath Ledger in 2008. But this week saw Ward’s return to the runway as she took part in Ellery’s Autumn/Winter 2015-2016 show, which featured a flurry of dramatic monochrome silks and moody greys and silvers. Ellery said she chose “a combination of women walking in the show with various shapes and sizes”.
