George Clooney Makes Surprise Appearance At New York Comic Con | Film News

 

Star of Ocean’s Eleven, George Clooney made a surprise appearance at New York’s Comic-Con yesterday. The 53-year old Kentucky born newly wed appeared at a convention to plug his new yet to be released Disney movie Tomorrowland. Also joining him on the panel was British actor Hugh Laurie (House), two fellow young co-stars and co-writer of Tommorowland, Damon Lindelof. After talks about the upcoming movie, they also premiered a two minute teaser trailer of the movie.

 

The film title Tommorowland was named after the futuristic quadrant found in Disney Land theme parks. Clooney recently married human rights lawyer Amal Alanmuddin (36) in Venice, Italy on the 27th of September and joked: “It’s not lost on me that I’m spending my honeymoon at Comic-Con“. He also said: “We’ve been waiting on this for a year and a half and… I’m barely in the teaser“.

 

Walt Disney Pictures science fiction adventure movie Tommorowland was originally given the working title of 1952. The name change was finally announced by director Brad Bird at a presentation given in California on the 10th of August last year along with other story line information.
