Ghanaian Swedish Singer Aurelia Dey Unveils New Track ‘Rising’ | Music News

Ghanaian-Swedish R&B singer Aurelia Dey has dropped a new single “Rising” along with an accompanying music video, in which she speaks to pushing forward despite the setbacks and through the crisis that we may be facing. It is a very inspirational tune because the lyrics are all positive and gives you that feeling of belonging.

The video clip sees the artist in a long pink dress, at the beach singing and posing, she looks like she is connecting with nature and it goes really well with her lyrics. The production in itself is pretty straight foward, without any special effects but good enough to match the idea of the track.

Her previous releases are “Sweet Love”, which was very successful and “Karleken Kommer”, which reached over 350,000 streams each on Spotify, and she is building up to her forthcoming spring album Sunday Service.

In the middle of the single, the artist adds an afrobeats variation and it gives the song a unique blend of pop and afro-music, as she sings, “any ends come with beginnings, amen, I’m gonna shine I’m gonna thrive”. She is adapting to the world of pop however she does not forget about her African heritages and it mixes really well on the song.
