Gillian Flynn Set To Reunite With David Fincher On ‘Utopia’ HBO Remake | TV News

Good news for those of you who went crazy for the Flynn/Fincher pairing after their smash hit Gone Girl, the two are set to work together again for a new television project. Flynn, who wrote the best selling novel Gone Girl and it’s movie screen play, jumped at the chance to work with the master mind that is Fincher again.

The HBO series in question is an American remake of the British television series Utopia. Fincher is set to take on the whole first season of the show, taking practically an entire year out of his work schedule, where a group of comic-book readers find their beloved hobby leaves them in mortal peril as they hunt for a secret sequel. As brilliant as this news it, it does leave little time for Flynn to get her new book going and fans are disappointed that she’s decided to push writing back. Looking on the bright side though, Utopia is set to start filming in 2015 with a television release the following year.
