‘Grudge’ Remake Competes Against Big Titles As Sony Change It’s Release Date | Film News

Sony have changed the release date for their reboot horror film Grudge to early summer of 2019. However, with this change comes a challenge as they now will be competing against big films.

Disney’s blockbuster animation Toy Story 4 is set to be released around the same time and with Toy Story‘s previous success and popularity, Grudge could have a hard time.

To make matters worse, massive franchises such as X-Men and Chris Hemsworth‘s Men In Black is also set to release at the same time. With such competition, we are not entirely sure what motivated Sony to make this move.

With that said, not all hope is lost as horror films out in August have been successful in the past; Films such as Don’t Breathe and Annabelle: Creation to name a few! Not only that, but we are sure that there will be a healthy amount of fans who would rather watch a horror than an animation in the cinemas.
