American pop rock trio Haim will be joining Taylor Swift on her forthcoming 1989 World Tour, which will begin in Japan on May 05, 2015, before hitting North America and Europe, then Australia in December 2015. For those who might find this a strange musical combination, a brief internet search of Swift or Haim will show you they’ve been doing the pop music equivalent of talking shop on the golf course.
To make sure everyone’s psychologically up to speed on the depth of their friend / pop-ship, they’ve even been posing together in t-shirts with the name of one of America’s comic national treasures, Bill Murray plastered across the front. Based on the updates I’ve gleaned from looking at Swift’s official site, Haim will be joining the tour for 17 shows across seven U.S. cities over a three month period. They will be performing as special guests at these cities below.
