HBO Unveils New Trailer For ‘Tina’ Documentary | Film News

HBO have shared a new trailer for their documentary on the life of pop star Tina Turner. It will be available on streaming with HBO Max on March 27 and is entitled Tina.

Their new trailer shows her testimony about her hectic life, as well as that of her relatives. Also, there is some never-before-seen backstage footage from Tina Turner’s performances.

It also shows some special interviews with Angela Basset who played the Tina Turner role in What’s Love Got to Do With It, the journalist Kurt Loder who wrote her biography and Oprah Winfrey and many others.

Through this impactful documentary, we can hear Tina say: “Look what I have done in this lifetime, with this body; I’m a girl from a cotton field. I pulled myself above what was not taught to me”. The 80-year-old star has lived through several generations while keeping his reputation intact, and still today it’s commonplace to hear Tina Turner on the radio for example.

The film has been directed by Dan Lindsay and T.J. Martin; produced by Simon Chinn, Jonathan Chinn, and Diane Becker.

What a huge project for the singer for this new year!
