American indie artist Kaz Moon shares his latest track, “A Lot to Explain,” a relaxing and soothing piece that is energized by its instrumentation.
Prior to joining the Dallas music scene, Kaz dabbled in music during middle and high school, and began creating his own songs while in college. During the height of the pandemic in 2020, he quit his job to focus solely on music.
Kaz’s upcoming album, ST*R *NISE, showcases his unique style and creativity. It is a hard-hitting, futuristic guitar-based pop song featuring unidentified samples. He recently released “Curses! Part 1” the day before his trip to New York, followed by Part 2 not long after.
Over the course of these two EPs, Kaz has evolved from an up-and-coming independent composer to a bedroom pop singer. He currently has 300,000 monthly listeners, over 15 million streams across all platforms, and a dedicated fan base.
In discussing his musical style, Kaz notes, “I didn’t have any musical influence pushed on me, so I was able to find my own influences. As a result, I think you come out looking a little awkward, maybe you look unconventional or like someone you wouldn’t expect to see performing and making music, but that’s the charm and the uniqueness of it.”
