ITN Signs Deal With Channel 5 To Continue News Programming Until 2020 | TV News
ITN has held onto its news programmes on Channel 5 in a lucrative deal struck with the channel. Under the terms of the four year deal, ITN will continue to make its programmes until 2020 from the new base at ITN’s headquarters, where the show will be given an updated look and feel.
Channel 5’s chief operating officer Paul Dunthorpe commented:
“This deal reinforces our commitment to provide a high quality and accessible news service,”
ITN commented in response to the deal:
“We are delighted to confirm this new four-year contract with Channel 5, 5 News consistently delivers distinctive, authoritative news programmes and I am delighted that Channel 5 has demonstrated its ongoing commitment to our innovative and high quality output.”
