J.J Abrams Pleads With Viewers Not To Watch ‘The Force Awakens’ On Mobile Phones | Film News
With the iTunes release date for Star Wars: The Force Awakens now less than a month away, movie director J.J Abrams has pleaded with viewers not to watch his beloved creation on their mobiles; branding the thought of it as a “nightmare”. Speaking in an interview at a film festival in Austin, Abrams explained: “Anyone who makes movies will say: ‘Please don’t watch my movies on that'”.
He continued, adding that all movie makers despise the idea of their creations being watched on such small screens: “It is the nightmare of every storyteller that people are going to watch something you made on something so small”. The Force Awakens will be available to purchase on 1 April (iTunes) and 18 April (DVD).
