Jackie Chan And Sylvester Stallone To Team Up For ‘Ex-Baghdad’ | Film News

Jackie Chan and Sylvester Stallone have both proved they can pack quite the punch, but imagine the firepower that a joint effort between the two could produce! Looks like that imagination is going to hit the big screen because they’ll be teaming up for action film Ex-Baghdad!

Need for Speed director Scott Waugh is currently in negotiations to direct, while Jackie Chan, Hans Canosa, Esmond Ren and Joe Tam are set to produce. Talent International will back the film as its financier and the project is looking at an $80 million budget, which is one of the highest budgets ever for a Chinese production.

Ex-Baghdad follows two ex-special forces soldiers as they escort a group of civilians through Baghdad’s ‘Highway of Death’ to the Green Zone and its promise of safety.

If the headlining actors’ international renown and bankable names don’t tip you off, the project will be aimed at international audiences. It’ll be interesting to see what such well-seasoned actors can bring to the worldwide big screen, so stay tuned for more information!
