Roger Deakins will not return to ‘Bond 24’

Legendary cinematographer Roger Deakins who worked on the last Bond instalment Skyfall will not return to work on the next Bond film. Many have praised Deakins’ work on Skyfall and the beautiful visual backdrops he is able to create. In particular, the breath-taking clip of Bond looking across London has been recognized as one of the most captivating scenes in the entire film. Skyfall went on to become the first billion dollar box office hit for the Bond franchise.

There have been rumours that Deakins’ withdrawal is simply due to a clash in schedules. Sam Mendes returns for the next Bond installment as director with Daniel Craig as the lead actor. Bond 24 will be released in cinemas on October 23, 2015.
