Jennifer Aniston And Reese Witherspoon Team Up For Television Series | TV News

Hollywood pals Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are teaming up to star in a new TV series. The untitled project will revolve around a New York morning show, to be written by House of Cards producer Jay Carson and executive produced by Steve Kloves alongside the two actresses.

The show would be Jennifer Aniston’s first regular role on TV since wrapping on Friends in 2004. Though she has enjoyed a solid film career, in January, Aniston made it clear that she’d desired a return to TV because “that’s where the work is. That’s where the quality is. At this point in my career, I want to be part of wonderful stories, exciting characters, and also just having a good time.”

Witherspoon recently took to TV, starring in HBO’s Big Little Lies, for which she has earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie. She had also played Aniston’s onscreen younger sister, Jill Green, 17 years ago on two episodes of Friends.

Aniston and Witherspoon have showcased both fantastic dramatic and comedic skills over the years and this new venture is an exciting one.
