Iconic folk singer Joan Baez will launch her 18-date North American tour on January 27 in New York City’s Beacon Theatre, during her 75th birthday celebration.

For the event, which will be recorded for PBS’ Great Performances series, Baez has set up an exclusive lineup, which will include Paul Simon, Mavis StaplesRichard Thompson, Judy Collins, Jackson Browne, Mary Chapin Carpenter, David Bromberg, Damien Rice, Emmylou Harris, Indigo Girls and Nano Stern.

For the tour, which will then continue throughout February and March, the singer has once again teamed up with Amnesty International, representatives of which will be present at every show in order to raise awareness of mass incarceration of disenfranchised minorities in the US.
