Jodie Turner-Smith Exits Netflix Prequel Series ‘The Witcher: Blood Origin’ | TV News

Only a few weeks ago, the Netflix prequel series The Witcher: Blood Origin was announced as well as some of the cast that will be starring. However, some of the characters might have to be re-cast such as the role of Éile, which was supposed to be played by Jodie Turner-Smith.

Jodie Turner-Smith has had to leave her role to someone else, because of scheduling conflicts with the production of the series, making it impossible for the British actress to fulfill her role.

So Jodie will not be part of this team for this time but we can soon see her on our screens in the A24 movie After Yang as well as in Amazon miniseries Without Remorse alongside Michael B. Jordan.

We do hope Jodie’s role will have a great recast, even though we didn’t get to see Jodie play Éile, we know that she would have played this role and powerful character brilliantly! The role is all about power and having a voice – Éile is a strong woman who was the queen’s guardian before deciding to start a new life as a musician.

The Witcher: Blood Origin limited series will be led by Laurence O’Fuarian as Fjall, with Declan de Barra as showrunner and executive producer, along with Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. We will keep you posted as things develop.
