Joe Wilkinson Offers Strength And Hope On New Single ‘Water To Wine’

Joe Wilkinson released his new single “Water to Wine” on April 8. The single symbolizes a refusal to give in when the going gets tough, an uplifting rallying cry for all those tempted to turn back when the uncharted waters get too deep.

Composed of a singular mix of acoustic guitar, bass, percussion, kalimba and lots of harmonies, the track was recorded and produced in Joe’s home studio on the Costa Blanca, Spain, before being mixed and mastered by British producer Stuart Mannell.

Joe Wilkinson can be defined as the modern musician of 2022. Having played hundreds of gigs in the south of England, Germany and Spain and recorded in numerous studios, Joe now writes, produces and promotes his music completely independently.

Joe’s previous albums have been featured on a number of music blogs, including Digital Tour Bus, Wolf in a Suit, Independent Clauses and Mystacism Music, and have been featured on BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music.

He was also commissioned by Netflix to do a promotional stunt for their popular show Money Heist in front of the European Central Bank in Frankfurt. While in Berlin, he also opened for Grammy Award winning artist Lauren Daigle at the Kesselhaus in Berlin.

While it hasn’t always been easy, and the singer-songwriter has often had to make do with beans on toast and coffee, Joe is now very pleased with his progress. He is grateful to be able to share his writing, his unique guitar style, his captivating melodies and his powerful voice, without outside influence.
