John Galliano’s first collection as creative director of Maison Martin Margiela will be shown during London Collections: Men on the 12th of January. The decision to present the show firstly in London comes from Galliano’s “formative years and his beginnings in the industry – and it is intrinsically related to the city’s traditional tailoring history and heritage“. This is to be Galliano’s first show since his departure from Dior back in 2011. A spokesperson for Margiela revealed the couture collection will also be shown by appointment only during Paris Couture Fashion Week, from January 25th.
