Julien Maury And Alexandre Bustillo To Direct ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ Prequel | Film News

Not long ago, we found out that the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre would be called Leatherface and would act as a prequel to the origional 1974 classic by Tobe Hooper. Fans were exceptionally excited to see a new, original idea behind the famous chainsaw wielding maniac and now it seems the directors have been picked and announced. French duo Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo (Inside, Livid) will be taking the reins on this twisted horror prequel. With Carl Mazzocone, Christa Campbell, and Lati Grobeman acting as producers and executive producers, and with Seth M. Sherwood writing the script, it’s looking like an exciting creative team!

Here’s the current narrative concept; “In this prequel to “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” a young nurse is kidnapped by four violent teens who escape from a mental hospital and take her on a road trip from hell. Pursued by an equally deranged lawman out for revenge, one of these teens is destined for tragedy and horrors that will destroy his mind; molding him into the monster we now call Leatherface”. Let the nightmares commence.
