Kanye West Back In Studio Working On ‘DONDA’ Album | Music News
Despite everything that is going on in the rapper’s life right now, Kanye West finds the strength to return to the studio to produce a new album entitled DONDA.
In a recent interview with Vlad TV, Kanye’s collaborator and friend, CyHi, revealed that the rapper was working on the album again. West had paused working on the project during the holidays to spend time with his family.
“I think he started working on [DONDA] late last year. I think around November, December, January comes around he kinda takes a hiatus—a vacation, break to get with the family” said CyHi in a short video.
West had promised that Donda would be released last summer, shortly after he abandoned his collaboration with Travis Scott “Wash Us In the Blood”, from the project. Although West shared the proposed artwork for the album, the record itself never materialised.
We’ve also all heard the shocking announcement about his divorce from the famous Kim Kardashian, which was probably a factor in the delay of this album. Asked about the situation, CyHi replied that the rapper was “in a good mood”.
“I know how much he loves his family, so it has to hit you some kind of way. He’s just a human being,” CyHi said. “He’s getting through it”.
For the moment we do not yet know the exact release date for the album, but it will probably be released this year.
