It is the middle of August, but we have fresh news for the holiday winter celebrations. Kelly Rowland will star in the forthcoming movie Merry Liddle Christmas, playing the role of Jacquie. Kelly will also produce the Lifetime movie with her husband, Tim Weatherspoon. The Grammy Award winner has previously starred in Think Like A Man and in the TV show American Soul, among others.
The Lifetime Christmas movie will see the former Destiny’s Child member relive her own recent Christmas catastrophe, which then turns into a miracle. Some sort of love story with a neighbour will also be part of the plot, which sees Jacquie, a single tech entrepreneur, invites her dysfunctional family into her new home over the holiday but as you can imagine, nothing goes as planned.
The film will premiere on the US channel Lifetime, which is set to also release 28 original movies over their holiday season, which runs from October 25 to December 25. Other films will star the likes of Tia Mowry-Hardrict, Kyla Pratt and Keshia Knight Pulliam.
This movie is the latest non-music project from the singer, who has recently been seen in A Black Lady Sketch Show, L.A.’s Finest and the drama American Soul.
