Kira – That Would Be A Lie | New Music
Following on from their critically acclaimed debut release “If It Makes You Feel Better”, that picked up immediate support from top tastemakers across the board back in July, London male/female duo Kira return with new offering “That Would Be A Lie”.
Kira have concocted a beautiful earful of indie pop with overstated 80’s tendencies which are not to be ignored. Complemented with a driving, emotive dose of shimmering song-writing at its most potent on self care and navigating feelings, lead vocalist Katie’s voice fills the track with such bliss.
Speaking on the track, Kira state: “The song is about wanting something more from somebody and finally finding the courage to tell them how you feel.”
With influences that take in everything from Blood Orange to Fleetwood Mac to no surprise at all, “That Would Be A Lie” will continue to generate intrigue around an act as fresh as they are a bonafide artistic talent.
