British band Kurupt FM have made a stunning entry into 2021 with the release of their first original single “Summertime” in collaboration with none other than the great Craig David.
This track, produced by MJ Cole and Fred again.., is the first song on their forthcoming album The Greatest Hits (Part 1), but also the perfect sound for the reopening of festivals this summer. As the name suggests, this track is the track of the summer. The fusion between Kurupt FM, Craig David, and this summery instrumental is perfect.
MC Grindah, founder and leader of the crew, says of the track, “Craig David is a living legend and I think I speak for him when I say that we are too. This is the collaboration that summer 2021 needed and it was only right that we stepped up and provided the vibes. You’re welcome“.
Kurupt FM started out as a pirate radio station with 6 members – MC Grindah, DJ Beats, Chabuddy G, Decoy, Steves, DJ Fantasy, Weapon X – broadcasting from Steves’ grandmother’s flat in Brentford. They play mainly UK garage and drum & bass music. Nevertheless, this station disappeared prematurely.
Alongside their forthcoming album, Kurupt FM will be releasing the film adaptation of their highly successful and award-winning TV series People Just Do Nothing.
