With 2019 well underway, Cambridge producer, singer-songwriter & multi-instrumentalist Kyan finally reveals the long awaited visuals for latest single “Neighbours“.
For the video, Kyan reached out to choreographer & actor Ukweli Roach, having already worked together on the video for “Lonely River“. We follow Kyan within a small tribe who are navigating their post-apocalyptic surroundings, gripped by desperation, depression and uncertainty.
Speaking on the video, Kyan describes that “the video for Neighbours portrays a dystopian world ruled by The Party. The Party monopolise all media and have one sole purpose, to control by fear. Fear of your fellow man. Fear of your neighbour. The situation has reached such a fever pitch that people have retracted from society on a mass scale.”
With support from the likes of The Line of Best Fit, BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Jamz Supernova & Capital FM’s Manny Norte, Kyan looks ahead to his first headline show on April 24 at Bermondsey Social Club. Tickets are on sale now.
