LA Rap Artist Watson Drops New Single ‘James Brown’ | Music News

Emerging LA rap artist and singer Watson has released a new song titled “James Brown”. The single that was dropped on March 12 is a mix of different styles such as R&B, melodic rap and post-pop, among others.

Regarding the song itself, it is a very melodic song, with an autotuned voice and a good bass beat accompanying him, it matches perfectly the American artist’s major style. The fact that he raps and sings gives the track more dimension and more meaning, and all along, the rhythm is quite intense.

For the lyrics and the story behind it, of course, when using the name James Brown as the title of a song, it is already a message. Obviously, a touch of funk was necessary for that song to match the James Brown vibe.

The artist raps on the song, “Bust down like a James Brown, I want you dance all crazy…“, which matches the love for dancing from the funk icon. The rest of the song mainly talks about partying, making damage, and not caring about anything.

The song was written by Watson himself and it was produced by PrettyBoyRon. There should be a music video for this single but the artist chose to put it only on the platform OnlyFans to help raise funds for sex workers.

The singer/rapper is a new genre of artist, he knows how to use new technologies to create his melodies. This means that he can do so many different styles of music and still be unique in his own way. Watson released his debut EP titled Hallelujah, I’m Free last year, from which the single “Dance Alone” became a huge hit on the social media platform TikTok.
